Prompts courtesy of 4purposes, though I'm not registered there (read: fear of commitment). For this one, it was "proof of your transience."

I'm hoping planning to make this a series of four vignettes. This takes place after and is based on events also narrated in my earlier oneshot Transference, though one doesn't need to read the latter in order to understand this post. So basically that was just a brazen plug. i.e. approximately 3 years after the end of the series.

Doggedly pounded out between 1:30 and 4 AM while wary of the mother suddenly waking up and discovering that I'm not yet in bed. Hey, what's vacation for, right??

Hammered out in about four hours because (1) I suddenly really wanted to get something written, and (2) I was afraid that if I left anything for tomorrow, such as editing, I'd just completely run out of steam. Mainly because Monster is such a magnificent work that I feel completely and utterly scared shitless by the temerity of the very idea of attempting fanfic of it. T_T

Concrit as always appreciated in truckloads. Especially given that this was hardly proofread at all; my brain was already too far gone by the time I forced out "owari."

Argh. Argh argh argh. My KyouyaxTamaki bunny is not being very cooperative at all. T.T To date I have like five drafts and I'm still not satisfied. Ugh ugh ugh.

And is it just me, or are a lot of Kyouya-starring fics written in very somber third-person omniscient? =.= including mine... unless I change that again... It does seem to suit him for whatever reason, but I'd really rather not use the exact same style all over again, y'know?

Incidentally, I find it interesting how a few months ago I was really in the dumps because I felt badly about not being versatile enough. I mean c'mon, everything with me is angst and/or romance, and I'm really trying hard to put variety in my smut too, even though it might not be so very obvious. =.=;

Anyway, it was only when I started following FMA doujinshi that I started to think, Hey, maybe it doesn't suck so bad even when you stick by pretty much the same styles and the same themes through your works... I mean, look at IDEA and GDMechano, their art and themes are pretty consistent--and yet they're utterly beautiful and totally addictive.

Which doesn't necessarily mean that my own consistency (or perhaps, more precisely, repetitiveness? ^.^;) is a good thing, but still... it's a fairly plausible counterargument, and should last me a while yet. ^.~

Spanking new Miwako moodtheme (of HachiKuro fame) made by li'l ol' me. It's far from complete--I had a really hard time finding decent screencaps, and then it's not like she appears in that many episodes--but she's funny and cute and she looks quite a bit like me, so. ^.^

I think.

Characters/Pairings: Megumi x Sanosuke

Some background info. This takes place several years after the events in RuroKen; Sano and Megumi are happily married and living in Aizu. Megumi is (still) a doctor and Sanosuke is a sort of secret intelligence cop-guy.

(Sorry if this seems a bit OOC or "blasphemous"; actually while I was writing this I had in mind my other story, Yoake Mae no Yami ni, where it gets explained a little more fully.
